February 2015

February was spent mostly indoors trying to keep ourselves busy.

We took some Valentine's pictures to give to parents and grandparents.  It was definitely challenging to get the kids to cooperate, but I still got a few shots and that's all I was really going for anyway.  My sister, Dani, came over with her little boy, Jackson, and we got a couple of him too.

Covey and I had our Valentine's Day date the night before hoping to avoid the crowds and it worked!  Granted, we didn't go to a fancy restaurant or anything but we did go to places we liked.  For dinner, Covey wanted to go to Moo-Yah's in Provo.  He'd been telling me about their burgers and claimed they were some of the best he'd ever had.  Well, I do like me a good, fat, juicy burger, so we went there and it was pretty darn good!  Afterwards, we went to a little place called Savory and Sweet.  It is a crepe restaurant and they seriously have some of the best food ever!  We went there specifically for their berry cheesecake dessert crepe and oh my gosh it was delicious!  It's one of those foods where you can't help but smile every time you take a bite.

On Valentine's Day, I made the kids pink, heart-shaped pancakes with strawberry jam for breakfast.  I also fixed Kadie's hair into a cute little braided heart.

As for the basement, we made some decent progress.  We got everything painted, carpet installed and doors hung.  It was such an amazing transformation!

Trey turned 11 months during February and was saying ma-ma and da-da.  He was also pulling himself up on furniture all the time.  He is a tall kid, but he looked even taller when he did that!

While there wasn't much in the way of snow, it was still cold enough that we couldn't spend a lot of time outside.  We did a lot of random things to try and stay busy and keep from going stir crazy!

She did this all herself and wasn't too happy when I told her it wasn't warm enough to go swimming.

I had some fun making conversation heart cookies.

Covey played with the kids outside during his lunch break on a random warm day.

I "moustache" you a question...

Practicing letters.  She loved doing this and asked to do her "letters" everyday.
