November Catch Up

As I look back through the pictures I took in November, I realize that, with the exception of Thanksgiving, the month mostly consisted of a a bunch of random day to day stuff.  Which I guess is really what life is most of the time, isn't it?

Makadie has always liked to help me in the kitchen.  I've let her help me stir food and add ingredients since she was pretty little and she still really likes to do it.  I actually think it's pretty fun too and it's a good opportunity for us to do something together.  Plus, I kind of always had this picture in my mind of me and my kids cooking/baking together.

Covey and I went out on a date to a place in Payson called Boudreaux's Bistro.  It is a little Louisiana/Cajun style restaurant that we kind of discovered by accident a couple of years ago.  Considering Covey served his mission in Louisiana, it's fun to go there every once in a while for some pretty authentic food (according to Covey).  I always get the shrimp po-boy because it's delicious.  Period.  Love it.  And of course, we can never leave without some beignets (Louisiana style scones).  Sadly, they only give you 3 so we have to split the last one in half, even though both of us could easily eat all 3 ourselves.  :)  We took a little drive up Payson Canyon afterwords and enjoyed the nice fall weather.

We babysat my nephew, Jackson, one night so my sister and her husband could go out on a date.  Makadie seriously loves this kid and I can't blame her.  He is pretty darn cute.  We let her hold him and took some pictures, which she thought was fun.  Not sure about Jackson...

We spent Thanksgiving this year at my dad's house.  With 3 families to split holidays between, we generally just have to rotate through each year.  I thought it would be funny to fix Makadie's hair so it looked kind of like a turkey tail.  She's probably going to hate me for it when she gets older, but a parent's got to have some fun, right?  Usually I am pretty good with taking pictures at family events, but I was kind of a slacker this holiday.  I ended up with a few random pictures of the day and that's it.

Makadie's hair by the end of the day was pretty wild...

We put up the Christmas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving.  Makadie was very "helpful" with the lights and the ornaments.

That was pretty much our month!  Here's just a few random pictures that are...random.
