Finally, the long awaiting month of March came. Just like with Makadie, the last month before the baby comes is bittersweet. We were excited to welcome baby Trey to our family, but kind of sad that we weren't going to be a little family of three anymore. We tried to spend as much time with Makadie as we could because we knew that time was going to be limited once Trey came. The weather started warming up which was also the perfect excuse to spend as much time as possible outside too. I've been so grateful the last couple of years since we got our grass and fence put in so that we could go into our yard to play.
One of the funnest things we did was go on a Makadie-led evening, where she got to choose what we did. We ended up going to see some animals, play at the park on the swings and slide and get ice cream at Macey's. It was fun to let her choose the activities and see her excitement and love for life.
I also had a baby "sprinkle" (as opposed to a baby "shower") to get some things for baby boy. If Trey had been a girl, we would have been pretty much set, but as it was, we didn't have too many boy clothes and we needed to upgrade to a double stroller.
The day before Trey was coming, we got Frozen in the mail and Makadie was so excited! She wanted to watch it right away. Of course. :)
I will have a whole post on Trey's birth and the second half of the month, so I'll skip that for now. But here are some other memorable moments from the first half of the month.
First strawberries of the season
Blowing bubbles on the deck
Apple pie from scratch for our stay-at-home date night
Makadie thought it was so funny to lay in Trey's bassinet and pretend to be a baby
